Trek bike hire coming to Byron and Thredbo YHAs
YHA Australia are excited to announce a new partnership with Trek to bring high-quality bicycle hire to our properties.
Starting at YHA Byron Bay and YHA Cape Byron, (with YHA Thredbo following soon after), brand new Trek bikes, including Cruiser 7D and Dual Sport 2 hybrid models, will be available for guests to affordably hire on a daily or half-day basis.
Founded in 1976 in the US state of Wisconsin, Trek are a leading global mountain biking and cycling brand, and recently helped raise $1,500,000 for World Bicycle Relief, which supplies bicycles to people in developing countries.
"Partnering with Trek to bring these bikes into our properties is a fantastic addition to the guest experience at these YHAs. Having the freedom to explore new places on a bicycle is one of life's simple pleasures and Trek is the perfect values-aligned partner to help bring this to our travellers.' said Paul McGrath, CEO of YHA Australia.
"Following the initial launch in Byron Bay, we're looking forward to rolling out Trek bikes to properties across out network, starting with YHA Thredbo," he said.
This new initiative comes in the midst of a raft of improvements, upgrades and additions to properties around the YHA network, including expanded food and beverage options, new premium private rooms and refurbished common spaces at some of our major gateway properties.

The new bikes are available to hire for guests at YHA Byron Bay and YHA Cape Byron from today, and at YHA Thredbo on January 1st.
