Meet the YHA backpackers we sent out road-tripping South Australia
Our crew travelled from coast to coast, through the outback, along pristine beaches, swimming with sea lions, tasting wine, climbing mountains, heading underground, meeting the wildlife, blissing out in the ocean, cruising roads from East to West, North to South and everything South Australia has to offer in between.
And they all stayed at YHA hostels using their handy YHA ePack discounted accommodation vouchers (no longer available for purchase) along the way.

“My favouritest road trip is the one I’m currently on, where we’ve travelled to the Blue Mountains, Sydney, down the Grand Pacific Drive, through Wollongong, to Narooma, been to Canberra, and then to the bush in Victoria, heading through the Yarra Valley and Phillip Island to Melbourne, then head down the Great Ocean Road to Adelaide.”

“My favourite travel experience so far would be a trip I did a couple of years ago in South East Asia – we saw the Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand. It was incredible, although our Australian road trip so far is doing a pretty good job of catching up! John’s favourite travel experience has been working in the Northern Territory, because he got to see all kinds of Australian wildlife and loved hanging out in the bush.”

“Carlos and I both love traveling. One of my best experiences was in the United States. I did my first road trip there around the West Coast of the US and I still remember that moment. I’ve also been exploring Mexico, Portugal, England, Italy, Romania, Poland and Tunisia. I enjoy taking pictures of every new place I see and landscape photography is my specialty.”

“We’ve done many great road trips but our favourite one would be our North Coast 500 road trip we did back in our home country of Scotland. The scenery is epic and we got to do a tonne of amazing outdoor adventures. We reminisce about it all the time when we’re travelling, wanting to do it all over again.”
