Group accommodation FAQs
What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is generally from 2pm, and check-out is by 10am. Groups are welcome to drop off their bags before check-in, and we also offer luggage storage until you are ready to depart.
Can we store our group's luggage at the property?
Yes, YHA provides luggage storage for groups upon arrival and departure.
Is there a designated pick-up and drop-off area for groups?
Each YHA property has a designated area where groups can safely unload and board their transport, usually located at the front of the property.
Can we self-cater at the property?
This depends on the property. Larger city-based properties generally do not allow self-catering but offer catering options for groups. However, most regional and eco properties permit self-catering. Please contact the YHA Groups team to discuss your options.
Do you cater for dietary requirements?
If a property offers catering services, dietary requirements can be accommodated. All YHA menus exclude nuts and seafood as standard.
Is there a laundry facility at the property?
Yes, all YHA properties have self-service laundries. Please check with Reception for the laundry location at your property.
Do you provide linen?
Yes, YHA supplies all bed linen and blankets for guests. Please note that sleeping bags and external linen are not permitted. Towels can be added to your booking on request.
Are towels included in our stay?
Towels are provided in all private ensuite rooms. For co-living rooms, towels can be rented upon request.
Will our group share rooms with other guests?
No, groups are only booked into whole rooms, meaning you will only share with members from your own group.
Is a deposit required to secure our booking?
Yes, a deposit is required after submitting the completed booking form. Additional deposits may be required depending on the booking details.
Do we need to pay a security deposit?
Some properties may require a security deposit, depending on the size and type of group.
Can we book our group online?
No, YHA does not allow group bookings to be made online. This ensures proper room allocation, adequate supervision, adherence to child safety policies, and compliance with property capacity and risk management guidelines. If a group books online, YHA reserves the right to cancel the booking.
